By Iliana Airey Here’s the meme for this week! I couldn’t pass up doing one from The Office! This one is basically saying that Mary is literally the best woman out there and that we should all strive to be more like her because of how she lived by the Word of God and obeyed His commandments!

By Pam Gonzalez Does this only happen to me? I am way better at praying in my head than I am out loud, so this is exactly my reaction when one of my parents asks me to pray. Since quarantine has started, I have been getting more and more comfortable with praying out loud and around others so I try and take over the “operation” whenever I can, and I hope you guys feel comfortable taking over too! Happy Tuesday everyone!
By Francis Van Uden This meme! SO good! I love that it’s so simple, but it’s really true. Jesus’ resurrection is such a good example of his love for us, because that is the action that allowed us to be able to live in eternity with Jesus! How much more caring and loving is that! Another reason this meme is so true is that Jesus IS love. He is the most loving person ever, and his love is like no other love we will ever, ever, ever, ever experience. The last thing is that Jesus’ love is really an open door. You don’t need a special key. His love extends to every own of his creations, including you! You may have heard the saying “unconditional love” which is exactly what God’s love is. There are zero conditions that will stand in the way of God loving you, just like an open door!
By Pam Gonzalez Hello! Happy Tuesday everybody! This is the chosen meme of the week and I’m sure it’s happened to all of us. I was scrolling through Instagram last week and I ran into a post that talked about how cool Pope Francis and here are some things I learned:
So yeah, here are some cool facts about our dope Pope! By Francis Van Uden I really like this meme because I think it shows how the situation of Jesus being condemned to death was. The Pharisees were asked who they wanted to free: Jesus, who seemed innocent, or Barab’bas who was a horrible man. They chose to condemn Jesus, but why? Many people, including the high priests, felt threatened by Jesus’ accusations that He was Lord. The pride they had in themselves blinded them to be open to the fact that Jesus may be speaking the truth. But even if Jesus was lying, what harm was he doing? People chose to believe in him by choice, and that was clear, but many people during Jesus’ time couldn’t get over themselves and be humble and loving as Jesus commanded. We are also called to be open listeners to others, because it is easy for us to get caught up in ourselves too.
By Pam Gonzalez Happy Tuesday! I hope you guys are having a good week so far!
Behold the meme I picked for you guys this week! Some days when I’m feeling down all it takes is some prayer time and a look at this meme to cheer me up. It’s so nice to remember that Jesus died for every single one of us because of the incomprehensible love he has for us, so if you’re ever feeling down, take a look at this, and hopefully you feel a bit better! Hope to see you guys tomorrow! By Pam Gonzalez Hey guys, happy Tuesday! I hope you guys are having a great start to your week! This is the meme I picked out for you guys.
This is honestly one of my favourite memes because of how many times this has happened to me. I go up to receive communion and come back only to notice that my stuff isn’t there anymore and I start looking around for my stuff until I realize it’s in the pew behind me. People usually find it funny and I hope you guys do too. Have a great rest of your week! See you Wednesday! By Francis Van Uden This is my FAVOURITE Jesus meme guys! It is so wholesome and even though it is a pretty simple meme, it highlights the important stuff Jesus did when He was on Earth!
“He protec” is Jesus protecting a lamb, and in reality, we are all his sheep! Jesus came to Earth to show us the way to Him, and when we allow Him to, He strives to protect us from all costs. “He attac” is talking about the time in the temple where Jesus got upset at the people for selling things in a place of worship, and He became mad. Jesus was upset with the people because they were using the temple for their personal benefit, and the selfish action was what He was disturbed with. Jesus was really fighting against Satan and his works, because actions such as selfishness come from Satan. And throughout his entire ministry on Earth, Jesus was preaching against the lies of Satan, and it was a huge part of why God sent Him to Earth. “But most importantly, He resurrec” refers to Jesus’ ultimate moment - his resurrection! This was the one thing that changed everything! (to quote Fr. Mike Schmitz ;) ) When Jesus resurrected, prophecies were fulfilled about the Messiah and Jesus fulfilled his ministry on Earth, because rising from the dead cannot be ignored. But more than that, Jesus brought us with Him when he resurrected. When we went to Heaven, he brought all those who had died before that moment with Him, and gave us the opportunity to be in Heaven with Him too! This has to be one of my favourite memes.
This meme really speaks to the nature of discernment. There are many times in our life where it just looks like God is only closing doors, and we can get quite frustrated about the whole process. Sometimes people even get mad because God is only closing doors. How exciting can a door closing really be? Do you want my truthful answer? It is very exciting! It shows that God is talking with us, even if it is without words. It demonstrates that He cares so deeply for each of us that He wants to personally guide us. It is in the moments that God tells us "no" in discernment that we are to celebrate! Why? It is because God gave us an answer! If you get an answer from discernment then it was a successful discernment. It might not always feel like it, but it's true! I hope you have a great day! There are many things to decode here, so let's get down to it. Let's begin with the caption. As you can see from the text and logo, this is riffing off of Batman and going to the BatCave. This theme is emphasized by the flourish of Cardinal Burke's cappa magna (the red cape) in the photo. This meme is discussing the conclave, which is the title of the meeting of the cardinals to elect a new pope. From the time that this photo came, it can be assumed that this is from when the cardinals met and elected Pope Francis. I know what you are thinking, "David, how do they decide who to elect as pope?" Well, here is a video that tells you about it! While this meme has led us in understanding more about papal elections, the heart of its humour lies in Batman. I gotta say, Cardinal Burke looks like a lot more fun to chat with than Batman.
